In Santa Clara, California, as part of the three-day Missional.AI Global Summit, we are organizing a one-day track for funders on Tuesday, April 7. We plan to meet during lunch and the afternoon session that immediately follows, and conclude with dinner that evening. Exclusive to donors and investors who seek to deploy capital to A.I. projects that advance the Kingdom of God, we’ll create opportunities to connect with fellow funders and learn from specific examples. How can funders help leaders of legacy ministries, from Bible translation to spiritual formation, achieve their organizational missions through the power of A.I.? How to reach transformational change through theologically-sound A.I.? And where do we need to invest in new leaders, new ventures, and new ideas?

Criteria to join our community events
- Follow Jesus as Lord and Savior.
- Give at least $200,000 a year to Christian causes. Though the number isn't a rigid threshold, it represents a proxy for the types of people who are asking and wrestling with the same questions around wise stewardship, giving well, avoiding pitfalls, raising the next generation, allocating resources, defining a family legacy, etc. People come to The Gathering to pursue relationships with peers who are exploring similar issues with a measure of humility, vulnerability, and trust.

Sundance Film Festival with Windrider Summit
We’ll rent a ski lodge and watch movies at the Sundance Film Festival, interpreting some of the stories being told by our culture’s visual poets. We’ll have great discussions among Gathering friends by the fireplace, and spend mornings with the hundreds of college students who attend the Windrider Summit as we listen to Sundance filmmakers, actors, and producers talk about their work.
Women in Philanthropy Retreat
Women in Philanthropy Retreat
Hosted by Michele Dudley, a Gathering Board Member, this in-person retreat will be the first of its kind for our community. We'll bring together a group of women givers of all ages, backgrounds, and geographies. Through conversation and meals, we'll work through the excellent resources from our friends at Women Doing Well, a ministry that helps women live whole-hearted generosity. The scaffolding of the retreat experience will be content and questions from The Pathway. Space is limited. When: Wednesday, March 4, through Saturday, March 7 Where: Isle of Palms, South Carolina Why: To connect more deeply with other women who are pursuing their purpose, passion, and plan in Christian stewardship Who: Whether you're a stay-at-home mother or serial entrepreneur, whether you've recently married into wealth or transitioning into empty-nest mode, this retreat is for you! On March 7, we conclude the retreat with a special tour of Charleston's rich heritage and racial history with Latasha Morrison, an author, bridge-builder, and nonprofit founder.

Trip details We’ll visit the set where The Chosen’s production team has recreated life in the first century in the Roman Empire. We’ll go behind-the-scenes to understand how the show is written and brought to life, and how the team behind The Chosen is partnering with other ministries to be a catalyst for people around the world to learn about Jesus.
Immigration in Texas, Mexico, Honduras
From January 12 to 17, 2025, we will cross the border from America to Mexico to Honduras, tracing the reverse journey of millions of migrants. We will meet and interact with an incredible breadth of people whose paths intersect at the border, from American law enforcement agents who patrol the Chihuahuan Desert near El Paso, to the Honduran church leaders trying to create a hopeful future in rural towns.

This trip was designed for those building a scalable business, or hope to welcome your children into your family enterprise or philanthropy. It was an opportunity to hear insights from the Herschends, and discuss and process with fellow travelers who hold similar dreams.
