If you belong to the next generation of your family’s giving legacy, and you’d like to meet other people traveling the same journey in life, then you’ll want to join our group for “Forging Your Own Path.”

This conversation is for givers who are carving their identities as individuals while maturing as members of a giving family. We share in trusted relationships the private stories of feeling the conflict of unmerited favor, the burdens of responsibility, the love of family, the pangs of loneliness, the sacrifice of personal dreams, the gratitude of opportunity that comes with inheritance.

This is a chance to get to know other Gathering members who innately understand and empathize with your tensions and your joys, who can offer plates of encouragement and kernels of wisdom, without judgment or expectations.

Four groups have already started. Let us know if you'd like to join the fifth!

Who belongs? Inheritors of wealth. This group is geared for families.

When do we meet? Once a month, virtually, for six times, followed by an in-person reunion at our annual conference in 2024.

Criteria to join our community events

  • Follow Jesus as Lord and Savior.
  • Give at least $200,000 a year to Christian causes. Though the number isn't a rigid threshold, it represents a proxy for the types of people who are asking and wrestling with the same questions around wise stewardship, giving well, avoiding pitfalls, raising the next generation, allocating resources, defining a family legacy, etc. People come to The Gathering to pursue relationships with peers who are exploring similar issues with a measure of humility, vulnerability, and trust.
